In life, there's loss along the way, Connections made can be frayed one day. People come and go, one by one, Just as the moon follows the sun. There will be joy and certainly grief, Hours span on long or terribly brief. But in each life, as we sprout our roots, Some people will stay, but others we'll lose. But be not so distraught for those who are gone, For inside your heart and mind they will live on. And as you continue on your own way, With glee in your heart, to yourself you can say, "I am who I am, as I am today, for those I have met along the way." Those who are gone then aren't truly lost, They still have you, and that's what matters
